How executives weakens the team and 3 rules to turn it around

Every single employee within an organization strives hard to achieve success. In fact the very desire to succeed and excel at work is something that always keeps them motivated and focused towards work. When executives perform, an organization automatically witnesses increased productivity as well as innovation. However, often in their bid to overachieve, executives end up damaging their team’s enthusiasm and performance level.

Such executives command, push and pressurize their team instead of coaching and collaborating with their subordinates. They tend to rely on shortcuts and wrong marketing methods and often fail to communicate important information clearly. Organizations that are run and managed by such leaders and executives fail to recognize the concerns of their employees. This further affects the performance and capabilities of the team members, resulting in lack of self-confidence and motivation among employees. The above scenario is obviously not a very pleasing one for an organization that intends to achieve its goals and set higher benchmarks.

Thus, bad or poor leadership can result in financial losses and weak morale, which further creates a negative and uncomfortable environment within the organization. Given the above circumstances, organizations have no choice but to rely on the services of an experienced and skilled life coach. Life coaching is the ultimate way to deal with bad and biased managers and leaders as well as their mindsets. Life and executive coaches help executives and leaders understand what is actually wrong with their approach and thought process. They listen to what executives have to say and share about their executives and organization’s performance in general and in turn help them analyze their practices as well as methods. Life coaches help bad leaders and executives realize that bullying, criticizing and pressurizing subordinates isn’t the right way for the organization’s overall growth and performance. They also motivate and encourage them to transform themselves into inspiring and confident leaders instead of burning or crashing out.

Life coaches help executives regain their lost focus in three simple yet effective ways:

  1. Encourage self-development: Executives must encourage their team to focus on self-development. They also need to identify the stress level of all their team members and manage them/ support them regarding stress management. Not all of executives and leasers are prepared for that, but Coaches can provide and support executives in that topics and also help them to keep the team members motivated and encourage them towards self advancement and development. When subordinates pay heed toward learning and acquiring fresh skill sets, they automatically bring a lot of positivity and productivity within the organization. With an experienced life coach to guide and mentor them, executives begin to focus on the larger picture and dump negativity and personal grudges forever.
  2. Collaboration is the Key: Executives need to realize that collaboration is the key to succeeding in business. When subordinates feel appreciated, they tend to deliver their best and outperform in many cases, which benefits the organization. This is exactly what coaches focus on. Life coaching aids executives in understanding that in order to foster collaboration within their team members, they must first learn to encourage their subordinates to speak up and share their suggestions. Executives should listen to the feedback and suggestions of their team members regarding marketing activities, strategies and business goals in general. An executive who implements the solutions offered by his/her team members often gains a lot of respect and attention from his/her subordinates.
  3. Focus on Happiness: There’s no denying the fact that happy and enthusiastic team members will bring in a lot of positivity along with them. Life coaches help executives and leaders in understanding the very fact that their subordinates will perform and deliver great results only when they are truly happy and satisfied.
